Improve project delivery performance by lending a hand to contractors and advising them on company expectancy.
• Managed $600 million worth pipelines and facilities program and implemented and executed the first ZAP-LOK installation for Chesapeake Energy that saved the company 20%-50% saving in mechanical construction cost or $10 million per year. A company-wide acceptance of using Zap-Lok technology in pipeline construction was implemented. Initiated direct service agreements with horizontal drilling drillers and saved 50% on drills. Construction drawings were standardized to meet operations, construction and engineering requirements that reduced change orders during projects saving the company 10%-20% in change order cost.
• Participated with Fluor in the construction of pipelines and gathering facilities in arctic weather conditions in Kazakhstan. Designed and implemented a regulatory affairs program for tracking citations, turnover systems, and metrology. A thermal modeling process initiated for hot taps and stopples to meet Fluor's client requirements. Mentored engineers and assisted on preparing PRCI thermal modeling simulation and software usage. Developed a thermal modeling manual and shared the practice with engineers. In Bolivia, undertook a construction challenge of laying dual pipelines with a fiber optic cable sharing the same trench while crossing three Sierra mountain terrains with nearly vertical slopes. As per client requirements, 700 miles of the Right-of-Way clearing was completed in residential and rural areas from Houston to El Paso within 45 days.
• Managed and profitably directed the Lewis Energy compression department from run times of 50% to 99%, increased existing Lewis Energy pipeline system throughput capacity by hydraulic modeling, de-bottlenecking and reconfiguring compressor cylinders, by doing root cause failure analysis and empowering Lewis Energy personnel, implemented a preventive maintenance program that reduced operating expenses by 25% per year. A gas-balancing program that included a corrosion treatment and leak detection programs was implemented that reduced pipeline system losses by 50%.
• Conoco assigned field area established as number one in operating expenditures and production volumes for three consecutive years by optimizing operations. Directed, designed and constructed two 250 MMCFD compressor facilities at 50% reduced cost under limited time while meeting deadlines. Compression horsepower consolidated for reducing Conoco operating expenditures and increasing horsepower utilization and reducing operating cost by 25%. Utilize hydraulic pipeline modeling and gas re-routing on Conoco's area facilities to reduce fuel consumption. In preventing environmental fines, redesigned Conoco's existing flare systems to meet TNRCC requirements for smokeless flares and nominated as a finalist for the Conoco Environmental Award.
• Trans Texas wellhead compression volumes increased by optimizing horsepower usage on 150 compressor packages. A coil tubing well cleaning program was initiated that increased production by 50 MMCFD. Started a wellhead and pipeline corrosion program that reduced wellhead tubing corrosion problems and pipeline leaks. RRC testing database and the program were developed that reduced man-hours in calculating semi-annual RRC G-10 fillings by 75%. The production facilities were modified and upgraded to reduce operating expenses.
